Personalised Wedding Favours

Here is a new idea for personalised wedding favours, or as a gift for the bride and groom. A ceramic heart with a little painting of the bride and groom is a lovely personal touch for a memento that will last forever.

Each one is hand painted and can have the bride and grooms names and wedding date added. They are a lovely keepsake for the guests to take home.

This one pictured is of a bride, groom in his RAF uniform and their lovely pet dog. They were happy with the results ‘I just wanted to let you know we have received the hearts today. They look great!’

The sadder but sometimes more rewarding reason for making a pet is as a tribute to a lost pet. It is a really distressing time for a pet owner and can be like losing part of your family. When I lost my very lovely dog Sam I took some comfort in making a topper of him which is always around and sits next to his photo. It is lovely that two years on I have a little memorial to him on display. Any pets can be made and they are made to match your pet, including any markings they may have had.

I love making the animal toppers it is great to be able to recreate that for someone. Pets can bring us such joy and affection that it is something that should be celebrated and cherished. Pets can be such a huge part of our lives and just wanted to share how lovely I think that is.

It is a very busy time of year here, especially with Pottery by Design Christmas decorations and then the rush of new brides to be from Christmas proposals, it is all very exciting.

There were also the toppers for Christmas weddings and anniversary gifts. This one shown here was made for a Christmas eve wedding, and I love the colours it was lovely to make!

These toppers are from the range at www.cake-toppers.co.uk and they can now include pets. To begin with the pets were only going to be added to the Atop of the tier toppers because they are larger it is easier to work with the clay, but after some practise they can now be added to these mini toppers as well. Shown here are 3 cats and a little white dog. One of the cats sadly passed away just before the wedding, but the bride was keen to still include him on the topper, so he is still there just with a little halo added.

This topper was made for a wedding cake. It shows how the hair style and colour match the bride and groom, the skin colour, flowers and the clothing. A little tiara was added for the bride as well made from little diamntes to give it some real sparkle. It also has the names and wedding date engraved around the edge to make it even more personal to the couple.

There is a choice of gold or platinum lustre hearts available for each topper, but this couple love horses so asked to have little horseshoes added to the base instead.

We produce genuine kiln fired ceramic wedding cake toppers. They are hand crafted to match each person. No moulds are used, the toppers are all sculpted by hand. We do not make fimo/polymer clay toppers which is a plastic based oven baked material, only real kiln fired earthenware clay. So you have a proper pottery ornament to keep forever.
